Privacy Policy for Aircast

This Privacy Policy describes how Aircast ("the App") handles your information. Aircast is a screen mirroring application for Android. It connects your phone to displays on the same local network and shows banner advertising provided by Google AdMob.

1. Data Aircast Collects Directly

The App itself does not collect, store, or transmit personally identifiable information from your device. All screen mirroring traffic stays inside your local Wi-Fi network. The developer does not run any analytics service, does not log app usage on a remote server, and does not have access to anything you mirror.

2. Permissions Used

The App requests the following Android permissions so it can function:

• INTERNET: required for Google AdMob to load banner ads, and for the system mirroring framework to negotiate device discovery.
• ACCESS_WIFI_STATE and ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE: used to detect smart TVs and casting receivers on the same local network as your phone.
• AD_ID (Android Advertising ID): used by Google AdMob to serve relevant ads and to limit the number of times you see the same ad. You can reset or opt out of personalised advertising from your phone's settings (Settings, then Google, then Ads).

3. Screen Capture

The App uses the system MediaProjection API to capture the phone screen for mirroring. This capture happens only when you start a casting session and only flows to the receiving TV or cast device on your network. The captured stream is never recorded to storage and never uploaded to any server controlled by the developer or by Google.

4. Advertising (Google AdMob)

Aircast displays banner ads served by Google AdMob, which is part of Google LLC. When you use the App, AdMob may collect or receive the following information for the purpose of serving and measuring ads:

• Your Android Advertising ID.
• General device information (model, OS version, language, mobile network or Wi-Fi state).
• Approximate location derived from your IP address.
• Information about ad impressions, clicks, and interactions inside the App.
• Local identifiers, similar to cookies, that AdMob may set on your device to limit ad repetition and to detect invalid traffic.

This information is processed by Google in line with the Google Privacy Policy. Google may share aggregated, non-identifying data with advertising partners. Google's data practices for ad serving are described at policies.google.com/technologies/ads.

You can manage advertising preferences and opt out of personalised ads using Google's controls at adssettings.google.com or directly on your Android device under Settings, Google, Ads.

5. Children

Aircast is a general-audience utility. It is not designed for, directed at, or intended to be used by children under the age of 13. The App is not registered as a Designed for Families app on Google Play. If you believe a child has used the App, please contact the developer using the address below and we will remove any associated data we are aware of.

6. Users in the European Economic Area, United Kingdom and Switzerland

If you are located in the EEA, UK or Switzerland, Google AdMob uses a Google certified Consent Management Platform to ask for your consent before personalised ads are shown. If you decline, ads may still be shown but they will be non-personalised. You can change your choice at any time from the App by reopening the consent prompt through your device settings.

7. Security

Mirroring runs over your local Wi-Fi network. The security of that traffic depends on the security of your Wi-Fi router and the devices on it. The App does not run a remote server or expose any port to the public internet.

8. Changes to This Policy

This policy may be updated when the App changes or when the data practices of advertising partners change. The current version is always available at the URL printed in the Play Store listing. Material changes will be called out in the App's release notes.
